Cedar Rapids, IA –Saturday, September 26th, marked the grand opening of the new Public Safety Building at the Eastern Iowa Airport. Members of the East Iowa Cadet Squadron (EICS) were there to assist with the public open house of the new facility.
Tom Mize, Operations Manager for the EasternIowaAirport, met with the members of the squadron prior to the public opening and presented them each with a challenge coin, which commemorated the event. Members, along with the public, were also treated to a free hamburger/hot dog lunch along with cake.
EICS members assisted the airport’s Dept of Public Safety by parking cars, helping direct pedestrian traffic to the new facility, and assisting with airport perimeter security.
